Pellucere Technologies’ MoreSun Retrofit Anti-Reflective / Anti-Soiling shield is the leading solution for restoring lost performance at utility-scale solar facilities. Designed for modules that do not have a factory AR Coating (e.g. First Solar Series 3-6, older SunPower, etc.), MoreSun will deliver 3.5% - 4.5% additional energy by capturing light that would otherwise be lost to reflection. These optical gains can help recover lost capacity due to normal module degradation.
In addition to the anti-reflective gains, MoreSun is designed with a super-hydrophilic surface structure that significantly reduces the adhesion forces (called the Van der Waals force) that causes dust and dirt to accumulate on the module’s surface. In dry, high-dust seasons, the anti-soiling gains can deliver up to 8% additional energy and as much as 2% annually, for a total power gain of up to 6.5%!
